Introducing the “Angel Muffin” herself.
“Angel Muffin Mud” is named after our heart horse This Fling Is Famous- or Jewel, Jewelsy, Jewelsy Bear, Bear Bear, or Angel Muffin. 😂

Jewel was in the process of making dreams come true in the year 2022 sitting us in the top of the WPRA Rookie standings until that summer she sustained an injury that we would not find until we ventured our way home.
Jewel suffered injuries to both of her front deep digital flexor tendons, and left front coffin bone.
You would have never known by the way she performed.
She is not the sweetest or most well behaved horse in the world- but she loves me (Bugg) and she loves her job even more. Her grit, try, and tenacious soul is something rare and something some people don’t even get to come across in a lifetime. To call her a blessing is almost an understatement.
She is the reason we have found ourselves on this journey of making products for everyone’s “Angel Muffin” in their barn. We know how important and what she means to us, so we decided we would offer our products publicly knowing the important pieces these horses hold in our lives and in our hearts.
Her health, comeback, and longevity in returning to competition is not taken lightly, and the last two years have been spent researching every outlet that is the BEST to aid in her recovery and for her to continue to have a long lasting career.

Daily nap time belly scratches for our little fighter 💪🏻

Some know, some don’t- I’ll try to stay away from writing a novel 😂😅

Baby Butt, Handsomes, Handsome Butt…. Bub…. Has broke his fever for almost 72 hrs now.

First to clear up a major question -
NO THIS IS NOT CONTAGIOUS.

Preface- We sent this foal to ICU exhibiting colic LIKE symptoms. I ran fluids on him prior to hauling to ICU clinic.
On arrival, no temp, good gut motility, good gum color, good hydration levels. Keep for a few days to do some testing & to be sure of the symptoms we noticed.
All tests come back negative. Foal is stable.
Foal runs fever 3 days later. Stays another 4 days. Foal is stable. Foal gets sent home.
Foal is sent home with a major infection of catheter site.
Foal does not receive any medication, or antibiotics entire stay in ICU or in discharge instructions. Foal is sent home with surpass & told to give 1ml banamine orally.

Okay- night 1 home - clean catheter site & apply surpass. At this point definitely thrombosis. Ask vet, just put surpass on & banamine.

Following evening all hell breaks loose. Extremely high fever, foal is NOT well and definitely not stable enough to travel. Amber and I took a different approach and immediately got on the phone with some of our most trusted and talented beings in the equine industry.
Whatever foal has going on is very outside of the box, so that’s exactly where we go. (Candace M Hoke, Kathleen Daigle, & always Don Lee)
We get right to work, and immediately drive to Candace’s the next morning to pick up “the goods” 😅
The following 60 hours were probably the longest 60 hours of my life with Amber right by my side and Candace basically on the phone 24/7 (not to mention trying to squeeze in ride times, aquatread times, and take care of all other business). Between Amber, Jade, Sean, and I we teamed up to make sure all was done and well and someone was with Baby at all times for almost 72 hours strait.
I’m pretty sure all of us cried, all of us sat and begged and prayed for a miracle. Even through tears we worked, baby was not giving up, and neither were we.
Now here we are for 72 hours strait the fever has been GONE. The swelling has gone down, and our sweet baby boy is bouncing again. We still have a ways to go for complete healing but I am so gosh dang thankful for the people in my life that face challenges beside me and never say the mountain is too high. The resources God has blessed us with, and the followings on social media that I know prayed hard for all of us. I feel them. I know so many were fighting with us spiritually as well.
Mainly this is a THANK YOU post. And if you don’t believe in miracles, I hope this gives you a glimpse of one- because little ole’ me couldn’t have pulled this off without one along with my angels on earth. 🙏🏻🫶🏼🩷

If you have a little extra room, we still need those prayers…. But gosh dang- am I thankful for them, and all of the support near and far.
