This picture is what I refer to as the "Drainage Funnel," and it depicts the main pathways of drainage in the human body:
-Cells
-Organs & Tissues (This is where the brain drains into the lymphatic system: glymphatic)
-Lymphatic System
-Liver & Bile Ducts (Also tied in here: Kidneys, Skin, and Lungs)
-Colon
You'll notice these are in a specific order, and for a good reason. The most important part is at the bottom of the funnel, the colon. If the colon is backed up, everything above gets backed up too. You want to aim for 2-3 bowel movements per day for a healthy individual. This will keep things moving at the proper pace.
The liver and bile ducts are a common problem area for many people and are critical to keep open. When they are backed up, an emergency hatch opens up for the toxins. Instead of the liver processing toxins that get dumped into the bile and then into the intestines where it should go, the toxins are instead dumped into the blood. These then go systemic and cause symptoms and other issues. Research has shown that it affects the skin, including itching and rashes. It also damages the endothelial cells of the kidneys and lungs.
In order for the organs and tissues (like the brain) to drain, the lymphatic system must be draining. Otherwise, issues like brain fog, memory problems, headaches, and poor cognitive function can arise.
Last but not least, the mitochondria are our cells' powerhouses, and the power switches to this entire drainage funnel. Supporting the mitochondria will give organs the energy they need to drain properly.
