It’s Wellness Wednesday! 🌱
Today I want to encourage you to journal! 📝
Research shows that expressive writing can lower stress hormones, improve mood, and even support immune health.
There are no magic rules with journaling. You just need a pen and paper or even notes in your phone.
Start with “I feel”, “I am grateful for” or simply dump any thoughts that come to your mind!
Your mind needs a place to pause and rest. When you write, you slow down, reflect, and reconnect with yourself and with God.
Journal even if you don’t think you have anything to write about. Pen to paper in quiet solitude. Before you know it your thoughts will come. Sometimes good thoughts that make you smile, while other times.. thoughts that you wouldn’t dare whisper to your best friend. And that’s okay because you’ve released them.. From your mind to your notepad without shame or judgement.
When you look back.. on the good days you will be reminded of your strength and resilience. On your bad days you will be reminded that it always gets better.
As you become more still and your mind gets quieter, one day you will be sitting, writing in your journal, and realize that it’s not your voice you hear. It is Gods.
