Doing the things that have scared me for so long makes me realize that the fear was misplaced. It wasn’t coming from a lack of skills or knowledge. It wasn’t from not having a community or resources. It was a lack of intention IN those moments of clarity. Those deep gut feelings when I knew what to do but didn’t listen.

We’ve always had exactly what we needed to reach our potential, we just need to express it with intention!

Cheers to a weekend in Chicago of clarity, connection, and chiropractic 🫶🏻🧷

Most ear infections don’t truly require antibiotics- they’re viral in nature!

Ear infections can happen with viruses, seasonal allergies, or even in kids with what we like to call “poor plumbing”. If your body isn’t able to detox properly, things get stuck- unfortunately for many kids, the horizontal positioning of their eustachian tubes doesn’t allow them to drain as easily as they do in adults. However, GI dysfunction, poor breathing habits, and poor diet can all contribute to the cause of an ear infection too!

Ear pain HURTS. Being prepared with things to support drainage of the ears and pain relief makes a world of difference. A few go-to items in our home when ear pain strikes are:

-Garlic mullein drops/ a few drops of breastmilk in the ear (as long as you know there are no tubes present and the eardrum is not ruptured)
-red light therapy
-lymphatic drainage/ gua sha
-more frequent chiropractic care
-lots of water to hydrate, extra focus on nutrient-dense meals (and fewer “treats”!)
-fascial support with Cranial work

Western medicine has a time and place! Supporting the body’s natural processes has worked wonderfully for our family’s needs in MANY situations.
