Pirate soap! Aaargh! Colors are good but the kelp on top was not a good idea. When I cut it, the kelp was dragged down the bars. There is kelp in the soap as well.
Fragrance - Pirate (salty ocean)
Next into a mermaid 🧜🏻♀️ soap.

Soap playful? Yep, when you put Disney princesses or Pokemon characters into clear soap it brings a smile to so many faces! Children marvel at the toys embedded in clear soap. And parents love the thought that their kids might actually wash a little better with an incentive.
I love being out in the public at local craft and art festivals, especially when children come, too! But I do dream of the day when I might be able to have a store front in my own hometown or one closeby. Until then, find us at craft fairs in NC, SC and VA (dates on facebook) and online (www.shoresoap.com).
With a name like “shore soap” I began by creating soaps in the shape of shells. People loved them! And they are still some of my best sellers. I continue to try to make them look like they were found laying on a beach (but sometimes I add too much glitter to the mermaid soap :). My best selling bar of soap is “Beach Bar” which resembles the beach with an oatmeal base as the sand, then one to two shades of blue for the ocean water and white caps on the top. It smells wonderfully like the ocean!
Shore soaps are currently created with a variety of Stephenson soap bases (https://www.stephensonpersonalcare.com/). These are glycerin based which also include goats milk, shea butter and oatmeal. I use mica for the variety of colors for bars and shaped soaps. For scents, I use essential and fragrance oils. There just isn’t a watermelon essential oil and I must have it for my watermelon soap in the summer!
We are in several stores in the Youngsville NC area and are always anxious to add more wholesale customers! Contact me if you’d like to try Shore Soap in your store. We’re still hoping our online sales pick up to cover us for the times when soap sales aren’t so hot. Check our variety out at www.shoresoap.com.
Thanks for reading our story and I hope to see you at a craft fair soon - or online :)
