This is why incision placement matters just as much as the lift itself.

Facelift incisions are carefully designed to follow your natural hairline and facial contours, allowing them to blend seamlessly as they heal. By placing them within natural creases and along the hair-bearing scalp, they become easier to conceal and maintain the integrity of your hairline and sideburns.

With proper care, protection, and healthy healing, many patients find that by around 6 months, their incisions are soft, flat, and often difficult to detect. Every person heals differently, and factors such as genetics, skin quality, and lifestyle all play a role but thoughtful surgical planning creates the best foundation for beautiful, natural results.

Check out this incredible 6-month facelift transformation, a wonderful example of how precision, artistry, and time work together in the healing process. 💫

Chin augmentation is one of those procedures that often surprises patients with just how impactful it can be. Even a small, carefully selected silicone implant can dramatically improve facial balance, strengthen the jawline, and refine the side profile.

Many patients seek chin augmentation to address a recessed chin, improve profile harmony, or enhance overall facial proportions. By bringing the chin into better alignment with the nose and lips, this procedure creates a more balanced, confident appearance.

It’s a subtle change with a powerful effect, and for many patients, interested in learning more? Contact us today and see if a chin augmentation may be right for you!

Part Two: Deep Plane Facelift Explained! ✨

You asked — and we answered. What really is the difference between facelift techniques, and what does “deep plane” actually mean?

In today’s reel, we break down the Deep Plane Facelift: a technique that repositions deeper facial structures as one component for longer-lasting, natural looking rejuvenation. By lifting beneath the SMAS layer, this approach restores youthful contours, softens jowls, and enhances the midface with precision and authenticity.

Both SMAS and Deep Plane techniques are powerful tools, and the best approach is always customized to your anatomy, goals, and degree of aging. The key is working with a surgeon who understands when each method is most effective because no two faces age the same.

Facelifts come in different forms, and understanding the techniques is key. In Part One of our facelifts & their roles, we’re breaking down Mini Facelifts and a Traditional SMAS Facelift to help you understand how each technique fits into the spectrum of facial rejuvenation.

Each approach has its role depending on anatomy, aging patterns, and the degree of correction needed.

Stay tuned for Part Two, where we’ll deep dive into Deep Plane Facelifts and how the technique compares to SMAS Facelifts.

The No-Touch Technique ✨

Today’s breast implant surgeries are more refined and more focused on long-term results than ever before and one of the most important advancements we utilize is the Keller Funnel Method, also known as the No-Touch Technique.

Using a sterile funnel allows us to place the implant without ever touching the skin, reducing the risk of bacterial contamination and minimizing trauma to the implant and surrounding tissues.

Why we use the No-Touch Technique:
• Maintains a cleaner, more sterile environment
• Reduces risk of capsular contracture
• Allows for a smaller incision
• Minimizes friction + trauma during placement
• Supports smoother healing and long-lasting results

Your safety, your results, and your confidence always come first!

This patient is just one week out from her subciliary lower blepharoplasty paired with facial fat grafting, a powerful combination that brightens the under-eye area and restores youthful fullness to the cheeks and midface.

By removing the redundant under-eye skin and replenishing age-related volume loss with her own natural fat, we’re able to create a refreshed, smoother, more rejuvenated look that still feels authentically her.

Turning back time, again! ⏰

This patient had her first facelift over 15 years ago, and while those results held beautifully, she began to notice natural changes over time. A softer jawline, looseness around the neck, volume loss and fine times becoming more noticeable.

To restore a more youthful contour, we performed a secondary facelift, combining advanced deep-layer techniques to ensure her results look natural and long-lasting. To complete her rejuvenation we also performed a neck lift, facial fat grafting and CO2 laser to refresh her skin’s texture and tone.

Here he completed his surgical training at the University of California Davis Medical Center where he worked under Dr. Thomas Stevenson, a nationally recognized leader in plastic surgery. Upon completing his residency, Dr. Coscia served as the fellow for The Plastic Surgery Center under the direction of six board certified plastic surgeons. During this fellowship year, he acquired tremendous experience performing facelifts, rhinoplasties, breast augmentations and breastlifts, and abdominoplasties. Dr. Coscia has a special interest in facial plastic surgery but appreciates the broad scope of plastic surgery both cosmetic and reconstructive.

Dr. Coscia is a published author with articles appearing in the Annals of Plastic Surgery. He has presented his research at meetings such as the California Society of Plastic Surgeons and the Aesthetic Society of Plastic Surgeons. He is a candidate member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the California Society of Plastic Surgeons, and the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons.

He now has made Sacramento his home but enjoys traveling and visiting his family. Backpacking and skiing are two of his favorite pastimes. He feels blessed to live in an area with so much to offer and privileged to be part of a practice with such a long and respected reputation.
