For over 60 years, we have been here to help the residents in and around Granite Falls with their healthcare needs. Avera Granite Falls Health Center is a Level IV trauma and Comprehensive Advanced Life Support (CALS) designated hospital that offers local inpatient, outpatient, emergency care, ambulance and specialty services such as surgery, radiology, mammography, obstetrics, rehabilitation, and

hospice care. We also have access to a wide range of specialists through our innovative telemedicine services. Avera Medical Group Clinic offers family medicine services as well as access to outreach providers in endocrinology, general surgery, OB/GYN, orthopedics, podiatry, cardiology, behavioral health, and ENT. Avera Granite Falls also offers a 48 bed skilled nursing facility and an independent senior living community. No matter where you live, whether in a rural location or in the Granite Falls community, you and your doctor can rely on Avera Granite Falls Health Center for the vital care you need, right here at home.

Today we celebrate the incredible impact of Speech-Language Pathologists and the many ways they help patients of all ages find their voice, strengthen communication, and improve quality of life. 💙🗣️

At Avera Granite Falls in Partnership with Big Stone Therapies , our SLP team covers the gamut and provides a wide range of services, including:
• Pediatric speech and language therapy
• AAC/communication device support
• Dyslexia and literacy intervention
• Cognitive-communication therapy
• Feeding and swallowing therapy
• Modified barium swallow studies
• Stroke and neurological rehabilitation
• Dementia care
• Infant feeding and lactation support

From first words to safer swallowing, from literacy skills to rebuilding communication after illness or injury — our SLPs are here to support every person, every stage, every story.

🌟We couldn't let April slip by without recognizing Avera Granite Falls in Partnership with Big Stone Therapies' Occupational Therapist, Anneka!

Anneka provides top-notch OT services to patients in the clinic, hospital, care center, and home health settings. She is a Certified Lymphedema Therapist. She also recently completed training to become a Certified Wound Therapist and will begin assisting with wound care services in May.

📚🌍 Today is World Book Day - and there's no better time to register your children for our Summer Reading Camp, designed to help kids stay on track—and get ahead!

Did you know many children experience a “summer slide” in reading skills when school is out? On average, kids can lose 1-3 months of reading skills over the summer. Our camp provides targeted, evidence-based instruction to strengthen decoding, fluency, and comprehension in a fun, supportive environment to reduce or prevent decline.

✨ Why it matters:
• Prevent loss of critical reading skills over the summer
• Build confidence and independence in reading
• Provide individualized support based on each child’s needs
