Like A Rock. We got the footers dug out yesterday. It took all day and it was very hard work, but the team did great. 1/2 the house is on rock so it took a while. All I could think of is the parable of building a house on solid ground. Today we will mix and pour concrete. I also hope to lay bloque. Please pray for strength and endurance as well as peace.

We finished the wall to mount the school door yesterday. Everyone is beginning to hit their stride. As we finished at the school a family arrived and asked about a house. They had actually asked for help several years ago but we were unable to do anything. After talking with them I knew that this is the family to help. Why you ask? Prior to the trip I had been thinking on how to start a house project for another family that would allow them to live in it and continue building as they could. Well, that is exactly what Jose and Andrea asked for. They didn't ask us for a turn key house. Jose just needed help to start ( foundation and 2 course bloque)and have a roof. So today we will begin digging footers and pouring concrete. Pray for strength and team work today. Til next time. Brad

Good first day. As always, things change once you get your feet on the ground. But we adapt to the needs of the people around us. There is a need for homes to be built but the current "home" would need to be torn down. This is something we will need help with on our next trip. We don't want to tear down and leave these families with only a partially built house til next year. These homes need to be constructed within the 10 days we are usually in Santa Cecilia. Today we will finish a lil project at the school and do bible school with the children. We will also begin packaging food for distribution. Pray for us to see Gods direction and for opportunities to share more about him. Til next time, brad

Its almost time 4 more days and it will be here. June 10th 2017, Saturday Ride for THE Cause (motorcycle ride) and RFTC Auto show. Ride for THE Cause begins at CrossRoads Harley-Davidson (1921 US HWY 421 WILKESBORO, NORTH CAROLINA 28697) registration 9:00-10:00. Your registration includes track time, lunch, goody bag and raffle prizes. 10:15 - 11:30 : Wilkesboro Dragway, 11:30 - 12:30 Ride on the parkway, 12:45 - 2:00 @ Day 3 Lunch, Live Music, Silent Auction, Car Show, & Raffle Prizes. Entry is $20 for rider and $10 for passenger. Josh Foust Memorial ride and Guatemala Fundraiser

Also going on the same day is RFTC Auto Show it begins at Day 3 Church registration at 10:00 pre judging at 11:30, Motorcycles roll in at 12:30 as well as Lunch, Silent Auction, Live Music, Raffle, and Awards. Entry is $20. RFTC Auto Show is a Guatemala Mission Project Fundraiser.
