With the unknown conditions tomorrow in regard to the roads, we will not open until 10 am and maybe after noon if the roads are icy still. We will make an assessment at 8 and post the plans then.

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced Friday it had cleared a new test to help diagnose adults with Alzheimer’s disease, the first diagnostic tool that uses a blood draw to check for the illness.

Working on 30 years! I have been a nurse practitioner for 30 years + four months. I opened my Guntersville Family Practice Clinic in August 1996. Let me tell you it has been a hard road at times, but it has gotten great for more years than not. I thank all of my patients who have become my family over those years. I opened the Grant office in January 2015 with Kristina at the helm. No, I am not retiring! I just want all of you to know how blessed I am to be here. I love all of you! I do feel the same toward my friends over the years at Guntersville, but there is something special about being home! My kids grew up here and from cub scouts to soccer to softball I have been busy. My kids played sports with many of you and it was full of great experiences. Yes, sometimes, I had some times I had to confront my kids about things they did that were not so noble, but that is what growing up in a community of good people is all about! Thank all of you for being the village you are!

Well, the weather event is here! We will not open today because the sleet and snow this morning will make it dangerous for driving. We will open as usual on Monday. The afterhours number is 256-506-0562.

Our nurse practitioner, Katie, has toys for boys and some others that are not gender specific for kids 1-3. Drop by any Monday or Tuesday. These are great for Santa toys. They need new homes.
