Sunlight heals the body!

Sunlight heals the body through vitamin D which is synthesized via a reaction in the skin that is triggered by exposure to ultraviolet B (UVB) radiation. Vitamin D is one of the most important hormones needed by body but most people don’t spend enough time in the summer sun to generate sufficient vitamin D to last all year.

Don’t get enough sunshine? In the Blu Room, each 3 minutes of UVB provides a light-skinned person with around 10,000 IU vitamin D and around 5000 IU for a tanned or darker skinned person.
