Must love to teach and inspire a new generation of devoted healthcare professionals, we would love to interview you for our Nursing Assistant Course Instructor! The Nursing Assistant Instructor provides direct instruction to Nursing Assistant (NA) students, assuring all regulatory required instruction is delivered in accordance with state specific requirements. Will maintain all compliance-related documentation as required. Ensures NA students are prepared to pass state required testing to become a Certified Nursing Assistant.
• You must have a current American Heart Association CPR Card and a valid Nursing License in the state which you are applying.
• Experience teaching CNA courses is preferred, but the right attitude, drive, and love of teaching can replace that.
• Must have at least one year of nursing experience in a licensed nursing facility.
• Excellent written and oral communication and motivational skills are essential to success.
• Ability to creatively problem-solve in both resident care and employee situations.
Requirements

Under the supervision of the Resident Care Manager/Director of Nursing, our Nurse assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of residents/patients for a shift of duty. Nursing care is provided through assessment, implementations, and evaluation of the plan of care. The LPN adheres to the standards of care for the area, manages the environment to maintain resident/patient safety, and supervises the resident/patient care activity performance by nursing assistants and helpers. Follows all policies and procedures and performs duties as defined by the State Nurse Practice Act.
Requirements:
• Must possess a current LPN License in the State of Oregon. License must be in good standings.
• Knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations and guidelines that pertain to nursing care facilities.
• Current CPR w/BLS certification
