Little tidbit on structure inside the family. Our culture’s tendency (for various reasons) is to allow youth to lead the family. Structure is safe for kids; despite their tendency to push against it they are actually crying out for it.

We often forget the importance of REAL social interaction. Our bodies are designed to connect and feel with others. Finding ways to overcome social anxiety is an essential part of therapy and the therapy process. Sometimes the therapy room and relationship is the first place we learn how to do that again.
