Saw a bumper sticker the other day that said “I’m not delicate like a flower, but delicate like a bomb” this quote really resonated with me. I spent the first half of my life trying to be as small as possible. Playing the part that woman are fragile and needed the man to carry the “heavy” stuff, because it maintained balance. Then when I became a mom, my thoughts shifted. I was now a protector, I needed my child to know that I always have your back and as we hit teenage years, know that I still have his back, but I will also be the monkey on your back if need be 🤣 but my point being is never make yourself smaller in order to feed someone else’s ego. Be strong, be bold, and be you to the fullest without any apologies.
