Delayed post. Had a great time last week at Rogue Recovery Center learning about drug trends and catching up with some friends and even getting hugs from some patients I used to have the honor of providing care for. It's lovely to see our community turn out for this important education.

Join us tomorrow, Friday, March 13th from 2:30–4:00 PM for a free presentation on Emerging Drug Trends presented by Aegis Sciences.

This session will cover current and emerging substances being identified in toxicology testing and what providers, peers, and community members should know about how the drug supply is changing.

Are you going to the International Nurses Society on Addictions 48th Annual Education Conference Seattle, Washington April 13-17, 2026?

I am proud to announce I will be a speaker at this event.

Come learn about initiating medication treatment with the Boulder Care QuickStart method.

QuickStart is a newer method for initiating buprenorphine-naloxone (BUP-NX), also known as Suboxone. It uses naloxone (commonly known as Narcan) to clear opioid receptors at the start of your transition from fentanyl. This eliminates the need to wait after your last use of opioids and means you can start a full dose of BUP-NX right away, without tapering. You can prepare for a short, controlled withdrawal period that lasts only minutes, and your clinician may help prescribe medications that make symptoms more comfortable. QuickStart is intended for patients with recent use of opioids who are not yet experiencing significant withdrawal symptoms.
You can expect the full QuickStart process to take less than an hour.

The benches are installed! Huge thank you to the always awesome team for installing these beautiful benches from on the EcoRECOVERY trail today!

These benches have invitations engraved on them encouraging visitors to rest and take in the beauty that surrounds them.

This trail serves as a reminder of what can happen when community comes together to create healing spaces.
