I don't normally watch the news, but tonight I did!

They didn't acknowledge everyone (I did include everyone) who supported and continues to support this project so I would like to thank and all the silent people who prefer to remain behind the scenes and the programs that bring their clients to the guided walks each month.

THANK YOU ALL!

Your presence, your support, and your shared excitement made this moment truly special. This trail represents community, healing, and the power of nature to bring us together—and seeing so many of you celebrate its opening means more than words can say.

Here’s to many walks, many breaths, and many moments of restoration on this beautiful certified forest therapy trail. 💚

You’re invited to the dedication and opening of the newly certified Forest Therapy Trail at Fish Hatchery Park!

The EcoRECOVERY Trail is now officially certified through the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy—and we’re proud to share that it is the FIRST certified trail in the state of Oregon and the ONLY certified trail in the entire Pacific Northwest!

A certified forest therapy trail is a specially designated path within nature, assessed and approved by organizations like the Association of Nature & Forest Therapy (ANFT), designed to facilitate slow, sensory-rich experiences (forest bathing) for healing, stress reduction, and deep connection with the environment.

These trails prioritize safety, biodiversity, accessibility, and thoughtful design (like gentle slopes, water access, varied plants) to support both guided walks with trained guides and self-guided exploration, using sensory "invitations" to engage people with nature.

This global certification was made possible through the incredible support of our community partners including everyone who has come out to our monthly events.

Come celebrate with us and check out this amazing trail and the beautiful new signage, and grab a cupcake before you leave!

And stay tuned—new additions are coming soon, including benches and self-guided forest therapy signs and brochures.

See you at the trail head!

Even better—join us for free guided forest therapy walks on the last Sunday of each month.

There is a quiet kind of peace that arrives when you stop forcing and start trusting.

When your breath softens, your shoulders drop, and your life begins to feel aligned instead of rushed.

Living your purpose doesn’t always feel loud or dramatic. Sometimes it just feels like calm. Like finally being where you’re meant to be...

🌿✨ Why Nature Helps Us Heal in Recovery ✨🌿

Recovery is a journey — one that takes time, patience, and support.

At EcoRECOVERY, we know that nature is one of the most powerful tools to help us on this path. 🌱💚

Nature offers a safe, grounding space where we can reflect, recharge, and reconnect with ourselves.

Whether you’re in early recovery or further along in your journey, the healing power of nature is undeniable. 🌍💫

In nature, we find the peace to process our emotions, the clarity to move forward, and the strength to let go of what no longer serves us. 🌿💪

But recovery isn’t just about personal healing — it’s about holding space for each other too. Whether it’s through a quiet walk, sharing stories, or simply being present, nature helps us create meaningful connections in a non-judgmental space. 🌸🤝

I am honored to do this work, to guide incredible humans, to hear their shares, and to see them rest.

We shared a gratitude ripple today - my gratitude was for the trust the land provides to me hold space for others and to witness their journey.

Don't worry about being a slow hiker!EcoRECOVERY is not a hike. It's a vibe, a slow, lots of time to rest, vibe.
