Dr. Deanna Elliott realized she had a gift of helping people understand their own body and knew she wanted to become a healthcare provider. She obtained her Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy from Western University of Health Sciences in 2011 and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology at Sonoma State in 2008. Deanna has been utilizing a hands-on approach to help her clients heal since 2011. She has worked in a variety of settings in the Physical Therapy world both in Oregon and Wyoming including Neuro Rehabilitation, Acute Care, Skilled Nursing Home Facilities, Home Health, Orthopedics and School-based programs. In 2018 she started Centered Physical Therapy & Wellness, where Physical Therapy is integrated in a holistic manner to help heal the body at the root of its problem. Specializing in women’s health, she has dedicated her time to helping mothers restore balance prenatally, during pregnancy and postpartum. Although her passion resides in pre-conception, where ā€œall the magicā€ happens. Deanna is Postural Restoration Certified Practitioner 2020, where she is formally trained through the Postural Restoration Institute. This technique helps you re-pattern your nervous system and address pain globally in order to get down to the root cause of the issue. She furthered her education in order to provide a Functional Medicine approach to her clients through a licensed program with the Institute for Functional Medicine. This approach allows Deanna to address the root cause issues her clients struggle with and fine-tune their gut health. Deanna loves working with postpartum women, as she has struggled and recovered from her own physical and health issues after her 3 daughters.

Your pelvis is NOT too small, don’t let them fool you!

Many of my clients tell me after the fact how their birth was problematic and how they will avoid that experience again at all costs.

DM me BIRTH and I will show you for free.

Have you ever noticed, it’s always about the baby position…

Almost like the baby has some mal-intent of not getting in the right position.

The truth…

The baby is just following a pattern that is instilled in the mother’s body.

But, there is good news!

With some simple repositioning techniques, you can move your body into a position that allows baby to fall into place.

So you don’t have to

šŸ’œLabor for hours with baby not progressing
šŸ’œEndure back labor that is unbearable
šŸ’œThe baby can spend less time in the birth canal, which means you get to hold your baby sooner!

I’ve helped hundreds of women around the world feel completely fix their alignment to have the birth of their dreams by fixing their alignment. (Yes online too!)

But first, you need a proper assessment to correct the alignment of your hips + pelvis + ribcage.

Don’t let them tell you the baby is too big, it’s too close to your due date or you just need to push harder.

Instead, prep your body gently with proven techniques to allow you to go from hours of pushing and lingering postpartum pain to pushing for minutes with not postpartum complications.

DM BIRTH and I will show you for free.

If you’re pregnant and tired of being told ā€œconstipation is just part of itā€

or you’re forcing down magnesium, fiber, prunes, and stool softeners just to maybe go…

Then I’m willing to bet you’re doing one or more of the following:

āœ”ļøBloated, uncomfortable, and backed up for days, which often isn’t because you need more fiber, but because your digestion has slowed and your nervous system is stuck in protection mode.
āœ”ļøAfraid to eat certain foods because you’re worried it’ll make things worse, leaving you frustrated, confused, and constantly second-guessing every meal.
āœ”ļøStraining, bracing, or feeling pressure in your pelvis, which spirals into anxiety about your body, your baby, and whether this is ā€œnormalā€ā€¦and leaves you feeling defeated and disconnected from your body.

I can help, as a Functional Medicine Physical Therapist, I’ve helped 100s of mom during pregnancy and post feel their best.

Before we dive in, be sure to follow for pregnancy support that’s actually designed for real moms, not just symptom management.

Most pregnant women are told constipation is inevitable.

ā€œThat hormones slow digestion.ā€
ā€œThat your body just has to deal with it.ā€

But here’s the part no one talks about.

Constipation isn’t just a gut issue, it’s a nervous system issue.

When your nervous system doesn’t feel safe, digestion slows. Blood flow shifts away from the gut. The diaphragm, ribcage, and pelvic floor stop moving the way they’re designed to.

šŸ¤·šŸ¼ā€ā™€ļøSo you add more fiber.
šŸ¤·šŸ¼ā€ā™€ļøMore supplements.
šŸ¤·šŸ¼ā€ā™€ļøMore effort.

But the problem…

Those solutions are non-specific. They don’t address how your body is adapting to pregnancy. They don’t teach your nervous system how to let go.

So here’s what you need to know:

When we support the nervous system, restore diaphragmatic movement, and create safety in the body, digestion improves automatically.

So if you’re ready to stop believing constipation is ā€œjust part of itā€ā€¦

If you want relief without forcing, straining, or guessing…

Fear and anxiety are not simply ā€œpart of the process.ā€

When fear and anxiety rise, breathing patterns change and the body shifts into a fight-or-flight state.

When this happens:
• Labor can slow
• Pain can increase
• Energy can be depleted faster

The birthing process truly resembles an Olympic event.

The level of preparedness and energy required to push a human into the world is significant.

Let’s break it down:

🤯Early labor: like a long hike
🤯Active labor: like interval training
🤯Pushing stage: like max-effort strength + endurance

šŸ˜®ā€šŸ’ØTotal energy: somewhere between a hard workout and a marathon.

After working with hundreds of women growing whole humans from scratch, one thing becomes clear:

When the body needs to adjust alignment during this max-effort event, the process becomes much harder and unprocessed emotions surface causing MORE pain and anxieties to surface

Pain during pregnancy can often indicate underlying patterns such as:

1ļøāƒ£ Sciatica – hips may need an alignment check
2ļøāƒ£ Back pain – back ribs may be restricted
3ļøāƒ£ Pressure in the pelvic floor – tension may exist in the glutes and jaw
4ļøāƒ£ Anxiety – breathing patterns may be reversed
5ļøāƒ£ Constipation or incontinence – the pelvic floor may not be positioned optimally for birth

Movement history also plays a role. Past sports, shoulder or hip surgeries, chronic sinus issues (often linked with mouth breathing), or orthodontic work can influence how easily the body adapts and how smoothly baby descends into the birth canal.

As a Doctor of Physical Therapy specializing in prenatal care, the focus is often on reorganizing the relationship between the hips and ribs.

Many pregnancy pains occur because the body has been adapting to posture changes, growth, stress, and shifting pressure for years, often long before pregnancy begins.

For those wanting to address the root of pregnancy-related pain and prepare the body for birth, comment BIRTH and I’ll share a free resource.

Most heartburn treatments focus on shutting down symptoms, not fixing the cause.

Acid neutralizers work by canceling out stomach acid with compounds like calcium, sodium, aluminum, or magnesium. They can help temporarily… but once they wear off, your body keeps producing acid, which is why many people end up taking them for years.

And here’s something most people aren’t told…

When stomach acid is low, it becomes harder to absorb minerals like calcium, digest protein, and maintain overall gut health.

That’s why we have to look at the whole system.

One of the most overlooked pieces?

šŸ‘‰ Regular bowel movements. šŸ’©

When my clients start pooping 1–2 times per day, they often say:
• My reflux is gone
• My bloating disappeared
• My cycles normalized
• I can eat normally again

Many digestion issues aren’t just about food, they come from a depleted and backed-up system.

If you struggle with heartburn, it can also be connected to:
• Mineral deficiencies (aka bone health)
• Trouble digesting meat (low stomach acid affects protein breakdown)
• Difficulty building muscle
• Gut imbalances like bacterial or fungal overgrowth
• Food sensitivities
• Even joint issues are linked to low stomach acid

Your body isn’t broken, it’s sending you signals.

What I suggest:

Restore BREATHING and improve POOPING

Comment ACID and I will send you a free test to determine if you have low stomach acid
