The Granville Community Foundation is a fantastic organization that works to make Granville an even better place to live and work! We were happy to host their recent grant reception; congratulations to all of the recipients!

The Go Green Committee sponsored a field trip to the Grange Insurance Audubon Center at the Scioto Audubon Metro Park, located on the Whittier Peninsula along the banks of the Scioto River near downtown Columbus. Once an industrial site, this 120 acre nature preserve opened in 2009, and is a haven for wildlife, and a sanctuary for migrating birds. The tour included learning about their LEED (Leader in Energy & Environmental Design) Certified building with many sustainable design features, including a green roof with plants, geo thermal heating and cooling, and bio swales planted with vegetation to manage storm water.
Residents & partners experienced a sunny day in the 50’s, went on a guided hike of the grounds, and enjoyed a nice boxed lunch!

This past weekend’s Mary Trevor Sunday Chamber Music Series featured bass-baritone Joseph Parrish and pianist Milana Strezeva. They presented a program of songs and operatic selections by various composers including Scarlatti, Rachmaninoff, and Wagner, and by collaborators Lerner & Loewe and Kern & Hammerstein.

The Health Center residents were thrilled to experience their very own adaptation of the Macy's Day parade today, featuring Thanksgiving, Animals, Food, Smurfs, Minions, and a special appearance by Santa himself.

Our arboretum grew even more beautiful today with the addition of 14 new trees as part of the 1500 trees project. In addition, two trees near the bocce court were carefully relocated as we prepare for an exciting new addition to the patio area this spring!
