It does not matter what happens to us. What does matter is how we choose to behave when "it" happens.
Our emotional well-being should be our priority because it justifies how well we can cope with day to day activities. Our mental well-being is dynamic. It changes from one moment to the next, day to day, month to month, and year to year. Unfortunately, we do not seek help simply because we are afraid how others might judge us. In fear, we destroy ourselves and people around us. We severe our relationships. By the time we realize we have issues, we end up all alone.
With a good mental health, we can engage with people and environment around us confidently; we can express range of emotions; we can build and maintain relations with others; enjoy life and work productively, and cope with stresses.
If you experience low mental wellbeing over a long period of time, you are more likely to develop a mental health problem. If you feel your mental health is not where it should have been, you are more likely to experience periods of low mental wellbeing than someone who hasn't. But that doesn't mean you won't have periods of good wellbeing.
