New research out of McMaster University has found that cognitive behavioural therapy delivered electronically to treat people with depression is more effective than face to face. Dr. Zena Samaan is the corresponding author of the study.

Grounding exercises are very helpful to decrease anxiety and when we are flooded with different emotions. Try practicing it today in times of transition. When you first sit at your desk, sit to drink your coffee, get in your car, sit on the couch. It's important to be familiar with it so it's more of an automatic in times of great need. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Take those expectations and throw them out the window. It's not a time for expectations. You can only do and be so much. Taking care of yourself is first priority before you can be anything to anyone else.

If you are looking to finally change a habit, start on a new project, want to stop procrastinating, better a relationship, make new friends, go for a new job or career, lose weight, all the things that you want to be different. The first thing you need to do is forgive yourself. Forgive yourself for all the things you have done that have kept you from achieving these things and forgive yourself for the things you haven't done yet.
