🎵 Meet Melanie Basham, the woman who brings music, laughter, and connection to hundreds of our residents every other week!

Melanie is a board-certified music therapist and Health and Wellness Engagement Specialist at Pegasus. She's the heart behind SINGO, our one-of-a-kind virtual music program that combines Name That Tune and Bingo for residents across our communities nationwide.

Every session, she performs around 50 song snippets — themed by decade, genre, or mood — and the energy is electric.

For Melanie, it's always about more than the game. As she puts it: "Music is a universal language that transcends age, background, and cognitive ability." And she lives that belief every single session.

📖🏅 What do a book club and an Olympic-style competition have in common? Both started with someone at Pegasus Senior Living asking residents what they missed most.

Benjamin Chapman, Engagement Specialist at Pegasus Senior Living, builds programs by listening — to residents, to Life Enrichment teams, and to the feedback that comes from both. The result: the Pegasus Reading Circle and Pegasus Playoff events, connecting residents across dozens of communities nationwide. Residents who rarely spoke are now sharing opinions. Residents who doubted themselves are finishing games and laughing about it. That's what good programming looks like.
