When an injury occurs, the body instinctively tightens the surrounding muscles to "splint" the area. This spasm restricts blood flow, causing more pain, which leads to more spasms.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗼𝗹𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗠𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗴𝗲: Manual manipulation physically interrupts this feedback loop. By manually lengthening the muscle, the massage sends a signal to the nervous system to "reset," providing relief that medication usually only masks temporarily.
