Sounds like Direct Primary Care needs wider participation. Patients would be better served if they either received reimbursement from their insurance company for membership in DPC practices or vouchers to use towards membership.

The Texas Academy of Family Physicians is also asking legislators to expand Medicaid insurance coverage to low-income adults and restore funding for a program that studied racial health disparities.

I can only hope and pray that something good will result from the chaos COVID-19 has created. In addition to helping my patients with their health care needs, I have tried diligently for the past 30+ yrs to contribute to a better solution for primary health care delivery. Perhaps a tiny little virus can succeed where I and others have fallen short.

I found this to be an interesting article and thought many of you would also find it informative. There are so many reasons our health care is so expensive.
