💡 Patient Before and After Highlight: Lipoma Excision

Today, we’re sharing the story of a patient with a rapidly growing lipoma on their back that was causing significant discomfort. A lipoma is a benign fatty tumor that can vary in size and location. While generally painless, larger lipomas can press on surrounding structures, causing discomfort or pain.

In this case, the lipoma grew to an impressive 13 cm—large enough to fill the palm of my hand. Despite its size, we were able to excise it through a small 4-5 cm incision, leaving a very neat and faint scar.

✨ The Results:

• The patient’s pain was relieved immediately after the procedure.
• The incision healed beautifully, leaving just a faint line scar.

He didn’t like visiting doctors, but he always kept his annual appointment with me—and actually looked forward to it, as did I.

During his last visit, we decided to capture a moment together. Instead of looking at the camera, he was caught gazing at me, and we all burst into laughter. The irony wasn’t lost on any of us—he’d spent much of his life in front of the camera as a news reporter, even covering the JFK assassination in Dallas.

Little did I know, that would be our last laugh together. The world said goodbye to him a few months ago, but today, on what would have been his birthday, I’m remembering the joy and laughter he brought us all.

Happy Birthday, Ed—you are deeply missed. ❤️

✨ Before and After: Successful Treatment of Squamous Cell Carcinoma on the Hand🩺

Today, we’re sharing a remarkable journey of one of our patients who underwent successful surgical treatment for Squamous Cell Carcinoma (SCC) on their hand with Dr Brigitte Salles.

🔍 Before: The clinical photo shows the initial lesion, which was biopsied as Squamous Cell Carcinoma. Early detection is crucial for effective treatment and better outcomes.

🩹 After the lesion was carefully removed, sutures were placed to ensure proper healing. Our team educates all patients with care instructions and ensures optimal healing during post-operative healing period with a post-op call.

💪 After: The final photo shows the hand after suture removal, demonstrating excellent healing with a beautiful linear scar. This result showcases the importance of skilled surgical intervention and diligent aftercare. Great work Dr Sallee!!!

🎗️ Education: Squamous Cell Carcinoma is a common type of skin cancer that can be effectively treated if caught early. Regular skin checks and prompt attention to suspicious lesions are key.
