Every PT has their quirks — from over-explaining details, to pretending an exercise will be “easy,” to giving pep talks that sound like TED Talks. 🎤💡😏 But here’s the thing… those quirks are what make your recovery real. They push you, teach you, and keep you motivated.

👉 Patients, which one makes you laugh (or roll your eyes) the most?

This looks wild… but here’s what it does 👇

When you see those needles jumping, that’s not magic… it’s science at work ⚡️

Dry needling with electrical stimulation helps wake up muscles that aren’t firing properly, reduce pain, and improve circulation. By sending gentle electrical pulses through the needles, we can help reset how your nervous system communicates with those muscles.

It’s often used for issues like chronic tension, muscle tightness, nerve irritation, or post-surgical stiffness. Some patients even notice better mobility right away 🙌

If you’ve ever wondered whether dry needling could help you move or feel better, talk to your PT. Every body is different, and this technique can be adjusted to your specific needs.

💬 Have you ever tried dry needling before? What was your experience like?

🎗️ Breast Cancer Awareness Month 🎗️

Today, we’re sending love and support to Sarabeth and Susie, two incredible physical therapists and Therapy Partners of North Texas team members who are currently fighting breast cancer. Even while going through treatment, they continue to inspire us all with their strength, compassion, and dedication to helping others.

We’re wearing pink today to show our support for them—and for everyone battling breast cancer. 💖

Thank you, Sarabeth and Susie, for being such amazing warriors. We’ve got your back, always! 💪

We had a great time at the Texas Tech University Job Fair connecting with the next generation of physical therapists. Events like these are more than recruiting. They’re about building relationships and showing students the many paths they can take in outpatient orthopedics.

At Therapy Partners of North Texas, we believe growth doesn’t stop after graduation. From mentorship in your first role to opportunities to lead and specialize, we’re committed to helping DPTs build fulfilling, lifelong careers. ❤️

Going up and down stairs with a walker after surgery can seem daunting. We've put together a simple how-to that you can use to help manage the stairs safely.

Going Up ⬆️
1. Place your walker sideways with the opening towards you. Firmly grasp the stair rail with one hand and your walker with the other.
2. The walker's legs should be against the stair riser with all 4 legs in contact with the stairs. Step up with the non-surgical leg and follow with the surgical leg until both are on the same step

Going Down ⬇️
Repeat Step 1 of walking upstairs, then step down with the surgical leg and follow with the non-surgical leg.

It's important not to attempt stairs until released by your surgeon. If you need pre or post-surgical care, we're here to help.
