Welcome to Golden Empire Nursing and Rehab Center, a Patient-Centered Care Facility started by a group of physicians in 1973.

Their mission has not changed since then -- to provide the very best nursing and rehabilitative care to our geriatric population. Contact our Admissions Coordinator, Randi, to arrange a tour of our facility. If you aren't able to visit, we can send information, or would be happy to talk to you on the telephone.

Huge thank you to The Friday Company for coming out and singing Christmas carols and sharing their dance moves with our residents. It was a full house, and the residents loved singing along. What a great way to bring a little Christmas magic to their afternoon! 🎄✨️

After 35 years of dedicated service, we say thank you and farewell to Debra Hughes, Dietary Supervisor. Her hard work, reliability, and commitment to our residents have been greatly appreciated. Thank you, Debra, for 35 wonderful years! Wishing you all the best in your retirement.

This week was full of festive fun and heartwarming moments! We kicked things off with a special visit from Calvary Bible Little Seeds, who put on an amazing performance for our residents and shared beautiful handmade cards. Their smiles and energy truly brightened our day!

Our annual Halloween skit was once again a huge hit, full of laughter, creativity, and spirit. We also held our annual pumpkin decorating contest. This year's winner was the stunning "Cinderella's Carriage" pumpkin!

Of course, we can't forget all our festive team members who brought so much joy with their costumes and Halloween spirit. Seeing the residents' faces light up made it all worth it!

Thank you to everyone who helped make Halloween week so special. It's always a treat to celebrate together!

Today, Golden Empire Nursing & Rehab had the pleasure of participating in Nevada County's 3rd Annual Senior Health Fair, a wonderful event focused on promoting wellness, connection, and support for our local senior community.

Our Infection Prevention Nurse, Sherri Speights, and Admissions Coordinator, Randi Raikowski were on hand to provide free blood pressure checks and connect with attendees about the importance of proactive health monitoring. It was a joy to engage with so many community members and local organizations who share our commitment to healthy aging.

Thank you to the event organizers for creating such a meaningful space, and to everyone who stopped by our booth, your conversations, stories and smiles made our day.

It's that magical time of year... the Nevada County Fair! 🎡

Golden Empire employees made it extra special by accompanying our residents to enjoy all the fair has to offer - Treat Street delights, adorable farm animals, local arts and crafts, and so much more.

It was a day full of smiles, laughter and sweet memories. Fun was had by all, but especially by our residents who soaked up every moment!

Golden Empire Nursing and Rehab Center volunteered at this year’s Starry Starry Nights Fundraising Event for the Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital Foundation. The all-white attire event was held at the Nevada County Fairgrounds under the giant pine trees and beautiful stars. The sold out event was a huge success and once again the commercial support showed up and shined!✨⭐️🌟🤍

It was a grand old time at Gold Country Senior Services this Friday during their Country Themed Bingo. Thank you Sierra View Senior Living for co-hosting and One Source - Empowering Caregivers for joining us at this fun and uplifting event. Next month Comfort Keepers of Yuba, Sutter, & Nevada Counties and Golden Empire Nursing and Rehab Center are co-hosting the Sports Themed Bingo on August 15, 2025. ***’No Copyright Infringement Intended!***
