These are mats are AMAZING! Our front 2 stalls have them. I'm dying for the back 2 stalls to have them as well! I recommend them to everyone I know when talking horses and stalls. I can't recommend them highly enough.

I firmly believe they played no small part in helping Shania, my palomino mare, recover from a spiral fracture of her right front leg, and without complications. As soon as we got her onto them the heat in her legs dissipated and never returned! She's a miracle recovering from that break, especially since it could not be splinted, cast, anything, and out v barn structurally could not handle a sling to be used properly.

I probably sound like s commercial when I share with people about them, I believe in them SO MUCH! Definitely a product that delivers what it promises!

Today was amazing, seeing how just a little unicorn magic can go a long long way!

LONG post ahead!

I was helping out with school picture retakes, there was a sweet 3rd grader that was so scared to have her picture taken, panic attack, tears and just so worked up. Every picture day this happens, she had yet to EVER get her school picture taken because of this.

Today her friends were surrounding her, supporting her and encouraging her. It was so sweet. She was still so scared. To get her mind distracted some I told her I have a unicorn and asked her of she would like to see it, so I showed her a picture of Lil'Bit's pony, Shirley the Wonder Pony, dressed up as a unicorn. Her eyes lit up and the tears stopped briefly. I asked her if she would like to meet the unicorn after school if she could be brave and at least try to have her picture taken. She finally agreed to try, said she was still scared. I told her it's OK to be scared, and that I was sure t he unicorn was sending her magic to help, because unicorns know when kids are nervous and scared and they send their magic to them, and I KNEW that the unicorn was sending her some magic right then. She actually went over and had her picture taken, her friends kneeling down out of of frame, holding her hand and encouraging her. She took a beautiful picture the photographe even showed her it. I told her promised I'd bring the unicorn after school. She was able to take her very FIRST school picture!

I went home, grabbed Shirley, turned her into a sparkly colorful unicorn, and had her on the grass in front of the school. The girl saw her, came running over and asked me if she could pet her. She was full of HUGE smiles, loved o . Shirley, gave me a HUGE hug, thanked me for bringing the unicorn and said she KNEW the unicorn had helped her, then gave me another big hug. It totally brought tears to my eyes, and have tears as I write this. It is amazing what the support of friends and a little unicorn magic can do.

A few rough days here with the critters and this miserable heat.

Lil'Bit has lost a few of her chickens and chicks.

Saturday we lost Shadow, Lil'Bit's favorite Nigerian doe who was last years bottle baby to the heat.

Yesterday Maggie, another Nigerian doe (and Shadow's dam) who was late season bred went into labor a month early, kidding 4 stillborn bucklings. Again, more than likely due to the stress from the heat, being pregnant with quads, and losing her daughter the day before.

Last night DJ, one of the 2 year old mini colts, started choking. It seemed to pass but then today started up again as he snuck a bite of food. Into the vet he went...2 tubings and 2 bags of IV fluids later we are now down at UC Davis with him.

A couple weeks back our first Mountain Lion attack in our 21 years of living here. We lost 3 goats to it.

Hearts aching and lots of prayers being said.
