A huge Congratulations to our ATHLETES OF THE MONTH 🙌🏻 These two students were nominated by their coaches based on their academic standing, community service, leadership abilities, and athletic accomplishments!

Marissa Moore- She is the starting center fielder for the JCHS fastpitch softball team. This season she tallied a .537 batting average and a slugging percentage of .662. She was perfect in steal attempts, stealing 27 bases without being thrown out a single time. Defensively she recorded 42 putouts in center field and made many spectacular plays. She works hard on the field, in the weight room and in the classroom. Along with her athletic achievements she also maintains a high grade point average. She leads by example with her hard work and dedication. Marissa is more than just a great athlete she is also a leader in the softball program and a role model for younger players.

Jacob Skinner- For the 2026 school year, he is a DLineman for the football team and a Wrestler. He set the school bench press record at 495, scored the winning touchdown against Stockbridge on Homecoming, has a consistent work ethic, working out before 6AM with our Strength Coach, and is on the A/B’s list consistently through football season.
