🌿 Deep Tissue vs. Relaxation Massage — What’s the Difference?

Let’s clear something up…
“Deep tissue” isn’t just about more pressure — it’s about more purpose.

A relaxation massage is amazing for:

Myths vs Truths 🌿

Be honest… how many of these did you believe? 😂

I hear a LOT of the same things in the massage room, so let’s clear a few up real quick 👇

Myth: “Massage has to hurt to work.”
Truth: Nope. More pressure ≠ better results. Your body responds best when it feels safe, not when it’s bracing against pain. We can get deep without making you suffer 😌

Myth: “Deep tissue and deep pressure are the same thing.”
Truth: They’re actually different!
Deep tissue = working specific layers + problem areas with intention
Deep pressure = just… a lot of pressure
You don’t always need one to get the other 👍

Myth: “Masseuse and Massage Therapist are the same.”
Truth: Not quite.
“Massage Therapist” = licensed, trained professional
“Masseuse” = outdated term that doesn’t reflect the training/licensing we go through

Myth: “If I’m sore after, it was a great massage.”
Truth: You might feel a little sore, but you should mostly feel relief, mobility, and overall better—not like you got hit by a truck 🚛

Myth: “I have to wait until I’m in pain to book.”
Truth: Please don’t 😅
Massage works best when it’s consistent—think maintenance, not emergency repair

Let’s clear something up 👇

You may have seen images like this comparing “monthly massage” vs “no massage.” While it’s eye-catching… it’s NOT how the body actually looks or changes.

But here’s what is true about regular massage ⬇️

✔️ Helps reduce muscle tension and tightness
✔️ Improves circulation and tissue hydration
✔️ Can decrease pain and improve range of motion
✔️ Supports nervous system regulation (hello stress relief)
✔️ Helps your body recover faster from workouts and daily strain

Massage doesn’t magically “clean” your muscles or change your anatomy like this image suggests—but it does help your body function better, feel better, and move better over time.

Think of massage like maintenance, not a miracle fix.

Just like:
🦷 You don’t wait for a cavity to brush your teeth
🚗 You don’t skip oil changes until your engine fails

Your body deserves the same consistent care.
