We are so excited to officially welcome our new therapy dog, Rosie, and her wonderful owner, Ena, to our community!

Rosie’s sweet spirit and gentle nature are already bringing smiles, comfort, and lots of tail wags to our residents. We can’t wait for your monthly visits and the joy you’ll continue to share with everyone here at Alto Grayslake.

🎭 Mardi Gras — Alto Grayslake Style! 💜💛💚

What a blast we had celebrating Mardi Gras at Alto Grayslake! The day was filled with the festive flavors of jambalaya, shrimp, and delicious Pączki, plus great music, lots of laughter, and even a little dancing! 🕺🎶

It was wonderful to see everyone come together to celebrate, enjoy the fun, and soak in the joyful spirit of the season. Moments like these are what community is all about!

AT&T delivers! 📱✨

A big thank you to Julian from AT&T in Grayslake for going above and beyond for one of our residents. When his cell phone stopped working, Julian made a special house call and had him set up with a brand-new, updated phone in just minutes.

🍽️ Nothing says lovin’ like something savory and sweet! 💛

Our baking class today was a real treat — residents whipped up cheesy garlic biscuits and sweet cinnamon biscuits that smelled (and tasted!) amazing from start to finish.

Look out, Hallmark — Alto Grayslake is in the greeting card business! 💌

Our residents had a wonderful time creating their very own custom greeting cards. Their original designs were copied onto cardstock and returned to them with a packet of envelopes — and they even got to keep their original artwork if they’d like to make more!

So much creativity, laughter, and pride in every card made. We love seeing our artists shine! ✨

Happy 100th Birthday, Harold!

We were so honored to celebrate a truly remarkable milestone with Harold at Alto Grayslake! On January 28, 2026, we sat down with him to learn more about his life, from growing up on the northwest side of Chicago to his inventive career — including creating the first cordless drill — and the deep faith and family that shaped his journey.

Harold’s life is a beautiful reminder of the power of curiosity, courage, and connection, and we’re grateful every day that he’s part of our community.
