Muscles Treated in video : Hamstrings

• The semimembranosus is grouped together with the semitendinosus and biceps femoris muscles to form the hamstring group, located on the posterior thigh
• The semimembranosus is the widest, deepest, and most medial of the three hamstring muscles
• The semitendinosus, along with the other hamstring muscles, crosses both the hip joint and the knee joint
• Hamstring strains (tears) are common injuries, especially in athletes, and typically heal slowly
• The semitendinosus, along with the sartorius and the gracilis muscles, attaches into the pes anserine (meaning goose foot in Latin) tendon
• The biceps femoris is the most lateral of the three hamstring muscles

• Long-term overuse and degeneration of the biceps tendon are typically the causes of biceps femoris tendinopathy. Symptoms include discomfort and swelling on the lateral side of the posterior knee where the tendon inserts onto the fibular head

That spot you keep trying to crack? It’s this.

You know the one.

Right between your shoulder blade and spine.
You twist. You stretch. You roll on a ball.

It feels good for 5 minutes… then it comes right back.

That’s usually a deep trigger point in the rhomboids.

When these muscles stay tight:
• Your shoulder blade can’t glide properly
• Your neck starts compensating
• Mid-back tension builds up
• You constantly feel like you need someone to “crack it”

Stretching won’t fully fix a bound trigger point.

You have to release the tissue underneath and restore movement — not just chase the pop.

This is corrective neuromuscular therapy.

Not fluff. Not relaxation. Real relief.

Muscles Treated in video: Rhomboid major

•A diamond-shaped muscle named for its rhombus (parallelogram) shape
•It pairs with the smaller rhomboid minor muscle, which has a similar shape and equivalent fiber direction
•Lies deep to the trapezius and merges into the serratus anterior on the anterior scapula, creating what some call the “rhombo-serratus” muscle
•Pain in the upper back between the scapula is a sign of rhomboid dysfunction
•Excessive computer use, as well as other forward-leaning activities can lead to the rounded-shoulders posture, where the rhomboids are overstretched and the pectoralis muscles are tight

•Action:Retracts (or adducts) the scapula at the scapulothoracic joint
