The weather projection for the upcoming weekend, Saturday, January 24 and Sunday, January 25, 2026, includes the possibility of a major winter storm and potential ice storm for parts of central Georgia and north Georgia.

Although things can change, most local weather outlets are advising to prepare now for keeping your families safe. This includes having at least a week of non-perishable food and water as well as having the necessary supplies for staying warm in case of extended power outages. Check on vulnerable populations now to ensure they are also prepared for these circumstances.
