So after going thru some of paw paws boxes I found his dads(Ferrell C Hood Sr) army service metals! His dad was a Purple Heart recipient and a decorated army hero! I wasn’t aware of any of this! His dad served 26 months over seas in ww2.

Today is the day I have not looked forward to all week. One year ago we where celebrating your birthday while you where in rehab. Today you would have been 79 years old. I miss you like crazy! I went and got the same cake we had last year to go to the cemetery today and have a piece with you but it’s raining. I will try ito tomorrow. Happy birthday paw paw you are gone but DEFINITELY will never be forgotten!
