Don’t get induced… unless you absolutely have to.

Because what they don’t tell you is that an induction isn’t just “scheduling your baby.”

It’s pitocin that hits harder than natural contractions.
It’s hours, sometimes days, of trying to force your body to do something it wasn’t quite ready for.
It’s cervical checks on repeat, no food, no sleep, and a whole lot of “just wait a little longer.”

And sometimes?

It ends in an emergency C-section anyway.
Because your body was never given the chance to do it on its own.

Ask questions.
Advocate for yourself.
Because “big baby” or “you’re already full term” aren’t always good enough reasons to push that button.

Birth matters.
Your experience matters.
And you deserve to know the risks before you’re hooked up to a drip.

If you need an induction for medical reasons?
That’s different.
But if it’s being pushed just for convenience?

Make sure it’s what you want, because once it starts, it’s a ride you can’t get off.

Your body.
Your baby.
Your birth.
Make sure your voice is the loudest one in the room.

𝘽𝙞𝙧𝙩𝙝 𝙞𝙨 𝙃𝙤𝙡𝙮 𝙒𝙤𝙧𝙠

I truly believe that birth work, in any capacity, is such a deeply spiritual experience. How can you witness these precious souls entering the world and not be overwhelmed with praise for the miracle that is life? Every birth is a divine moment—a testament to God’s perfect design and His unending love.

I know I am just a small part of the birth space, but what an incredible blessing it is to be there, to document these sacred moments, and to stand beside those walking in their calling—midwifery, nursing, doula work, and beyond. It is powerful to be surrounded by women who not only support with their hands but intercede with their prayers, lifting up a laboring mother as she rides the waves of bringing life earthside.

And then, to witness the moments after—hands laid in blessing over newborns, prayers of gratitude, a room filled with awe and reverence—it takes my breath away.

Thank you, Jesus, for allowing me to see Your tenderness and mercy so clearly in birth. What a gift it is to be present in these holy spaces.
