Today is another special day as we celebrate Natalie's 1st Workiversary! She may be our youngest employee but that means nothing when it comes to her strong work ethic and her commitment and care that she provides to our residents! Natalie is preparing to start nursing school next week and we couldn't be more proud to see how much she's grown in just one year's time! Thank you, Natalie, for all you do! We are celebrating birthdays #3 and #4 for this week with a pair of birthday buddies! As luck would have it, they even unknowingly requested the exact same dessert in honor of their special day! Another day is in the books and we enjoyed it to the fullest! Poor planning, or maybe fate, brought us ANOTHER afternoon of root beer floats to celebrate National Root Beer Float Day! Nobody complained, of course, but posing for pictures was just too much to ask this time around 😂😂 we let them all enjoy their treat in peace! Then a fun game of Farkle rounded out the afternoon! ❤️

Pauline is always keeping us laughing! When we wished her a Happy Birthday first thing this morning, she said "Oh really, its my birthday?" and then proceeded to ask how old she was. While we truly believe she is no older than 25 at heart with a full personality of ornery wit, she was in shock when we told her that she was "94" today! She says - "Oh it can't be, they don't make them that old. Don't say that too loud!" 😂😂 As you can also see, our August birthdays share the same cravings! Another chocolate pie for the win! Happy 94th Birthday, Pauline! We can go back to fibbing about your age tomorrow!

When "the boss" covers morning shift on a Satuday, the most popular question is "How'd you manage to draw the short straw?!" Then, of course, comes the concern for whichever staff member is "missing," because we are a family after all! We hit the jackpot today and found some Colorado peaches just down the road! It doesnt get much better than this on a hot summer's day! We even sent a special delivery over to Ellinwood to a sweet resident who is SO TIRED of hospital food and itching to get back home to Jenna, Di and Chelby's home-cooked meals! 😀 A serious game of Bingo rounded out our afternoon! This hot weather may keep is inside, but we are enjoying our time nonetheless

Celebrating an 8th "Workiversary" today at River Bend! The first day this vibrant girl walked into the office for her interview, we were on the fence about how the residents might take to her, but there was no doubt that she had the heart for caregiving. As a brand new CNA, looking for her place in the world, we couldn't have been more lucky to extend that chance to grow at River Bend to Ms. Shani, bringing nothing but pure joy to our community. Shani is a leader by nature and one of the hardest workers you'll meet, but more importantly, provides top-tier, compassionate care to each and every resident in our community. She wears the title of our "Green-Haired Angel" proudly and each resident wouldn't hesitate to give her rave reviews in regards to her love, attention and care! Her coworkers all share that very same sentiment and know that they can count on Shani to keep the mood light and the laughs many. Wishing you a Happy 8th Workiversary, Shani! There is no doubt that we were blessed the day you walked through the door and every day since!
