Today I attended the Great Bend Chamber Coffee at Nex-Tech Wireless. There was a lot of discussion about the busy community calendar ahead and about Nex-Tech’s important role in supporting local businesses and the community, especially when it comes to broadband and connectivity.

I also mentioned Blindside Grappling’s continued efforts to offer free self-defense classes for women, along with their attempts to gain support for using a community building in Hoisington, Kansas, as a location for those classes.

Other upcoming events that were mentioned included an online Coffee Talk with Iron Therapy’s Aaron Raney and fellow massage therapist Sandy Burton on “butts” and how hip function and spinal alignment can affect overall health.

It was a good morning of community connection, local support, and conversation about ways to help people through business, education, and service.

It’s an honor to be at Azria’s Chamber Coffee this morning. The room is packed, conversations are buzzing, and the energy in here says a lot about how strong and connected the Great Bend business community really is.

Events like this are more than just coffee and networking — they’re a reminder that when local businesses show up, support each other, and build relationships, everyone benefits. A rising tide really does carry all ships.

I had the opportunity to connect with several great people this morning, and it’s always encouraging to be in a room full of individuals who are working, building, and investing back into this community.

Grateful to be part of it, and looking forward to continuing to grow, serve, and contribute here in Great Bend.

New research keeps pointing to something simple: consistency beats perfection.
A big new review behind updated strength-training guidance found that the biggest change often happens when people go from doing nothing to doing something consistently. You do not need the perfect split, perfect gym setup, or perfect routine to start seeing benefits.

A recent Mindbody article on 2025 wellness trends pointed out something I think more people are finally realizing: recovery is no longer an afterthought. Between strength training, wearable tech, remote coaching, and more recovery-focused services, people are starting to understand that feeling and functioning better matters too. Massage has a place in that conversation. It’s not just about pampering. It can be part of stress relief, pain relief, performance, and recovery.

The Chamber Coffees are an amazing easily accessible networking opportunity and I encourage any new (or existing) business owner to get involved. There were so many events mentioned and the new addition to magnadrygb is just another example. Big Bend Custom Engraving pointed to a very humorous listing of trial and error to their new expanded engraving business. There were so many events and fundraisers mentioned I just decided to include the link to the Chamber Calendar.
