I lost my bio Dad yesterday, he didn't have life/burial insurance. Could any of you spare anything to help out my stepmom?
Charles Nash was truly one of a kind. If you ever met him, you know exactly what I mean. A rambler in the truest sense of the word, Charley lived a life full of adventure and resilience.
From helping his parents run the infamous "Nash's Hickory Pit BBQ" in Gravois Mills, MO, to serving his country in Vietnam, and traveling from coast to coast and internationally, he was a jack of all trades. His life on the road defined him - until he found his true love, Nancy.
Charley and Nancy married in 1989 and built a life filled with love, caring for others, and nurturing animals of all kinds, from chickens to horses and everything in between. But this past summer, Charley was diagnosed with lung cancer. After a brave and valiant fight, he found eternal rest on December 30, 2024.
Charley left behind not only his beloved wife, Nancy, but also two daughters he discovered late in life, Jan & Melody. Though he didnโt know of them until they each appeared on his doorstep as adults, he welcomed them with open arms and unconditional love. Charley is also survived by a grandson (Joel), three granddaughters (Laken, Charlie & Opal), four great-grandchildren (Alexis, MaKenna, Patrick & Bradley) and one great-great-granddaughter (Ember), along with Nancy's children (Becki, Thomas, Robert & Davey).
Unfortunately, Charley did not have life or burial insurance. While he attempted to secure a policy after his diagnosis, the benefits were minimal due to the short duration of the policy. Nancy, who lives with her own chronic health issues and limited income, is now faced with the financial burden of his final expenses.
If you feel moved to help, any donation, no matter the size, would mean the world to our family. Your generosity would provide much-needed relief during this difficult time and help honor the memory of a man who touched so many lives.
Thank you for following our familyโs story. Melody and I feel truly blessed to have had a father who loved us without hesitation, even though he didnโt know us for most of his life.
With gratitude,
Jan
