Storm Hurricane exemplifies what is still pristine with athletics. In a world of get-paid opportunities that drive today’s big-time sports, these guys play for the pure enjoyment and challenge.
Often times, the score doesn’t work out in their favor; once in a while it does. Regardless of the outcome, however, they are always trying and grinding to meet the challenge.
The State Basketball Tournament was no exception. Team Hurricane lost all three of its games, but played to within six and five points respectively against Buffaloes White and SV Larks Red. Then Hurricane lost an overtime thriller 8-10 to Mavericks in the team’s final game to end the season.
Hurricane Athletes are never deterred; but instead always seem to look forward to the next challenge. Keep striving Hurricane; we’ll see you at Track Regionals in Dodge City later this month!!
