Your feet are perfectly designed
It’s how you use them that needs modification. Not your feet

There is an underlying belief floating around that feet can’t support the body on their own. We tend to think they need extra support via orthotics, motion control shoes, or heavily cushioned shoes
But we’re here to let you know—human feet are not a design flaw!
While there may be times or situations when extra support is merited, for the most part, feet will only need the support temporarily until they heal or are strengthened properly
Here are just a few amazing barefoot technologies
1. Your foot is a stable tripod. Between two points at the ball of the foot and a point at the heel, your foot on the ground (or in a thin shoe that allows you to feel the ground) is very stable!
2. Fat pads are positioned under areas of weight-bearing for extra cushion and comfort
3. The foot contains 3 natural arches: one just behind the ball of your foot, one on the outside edge of your foot and one on the inside edge of your foot. These natural arches help to support your feet and keep it from collapsing (with help from your hips)
4. The foot is capable of complex movements. These movements help to dissipate forces from the ground when you are walking or running. Feet are designed to pronate and become soft upon landing and to supinate and become rigid when leaving the ground. Truly amazing!
If you read these and thought— but my feet don’t have that special technology—that’s okay! To perform optimally, your feet might need a little extra love
