✨Something is always better than nothing✨

Today was rough. After 2–3 months away from the gym, I finally got back to it — and wow, it was HARD. I was out of breath, lifting lighter than ever, and I could feel that old disappointment start to creep in.

But then I heard the same words I tell my clients echo in my mind: Something is better than nothing.

🙌🏼 How lucky am I to have a body that can move and lift?
🙌🏼 How incredible is it that I carved out time today to take care of myself?
🙌🏼 How exciting that my body will reap countless benefits from just this one session?

There’s so much to be grateful for — and I almost missed it because I was focused on what I’d lost instead of what I’d gained.

Consider this a gentle reminder: celebrate the small wins, embrace the goodness in each step forward, and let that momentum snowball into something amazing. One day at a time, you’re building a stronger, healthier future.

Just saying… Sweet potatoes in taco bowls are the BEST!!! 🙌🏼🍠

These past few months I’ve been as busy as I’ve ever been… it got me thinking… HOW on earth do I feel “okay”… 🧐 usually im fatigued, brain foggy, irritable, anxious, & more!

I started thinking about my behaviors, and I had a little sense of accomplishment creep in - something I dont feel too often if we’re being honest 😅 I felt that way because I realize my habits have literally saved me. The work I put in this past year protected me from breakdown during this incredibly trying time.

Some things I’ve learned along the way:

1) Less is more - I’ve cut out more “good” things than I have added. By this I mean I cut out extra supplements, stuck to whole foods, & cut out caffeine - both of which have “health benefits”. I’ve never felt better! My nervous system has healed, and I feel more rested & energized. Your body knows how to heal itself when you actually give it the chance to do so. 

2) Technology fasting created a slower, easier, more manageable life. Scrolling just created a sense of urgency, and took up too much of my time. Again… healing my nervous system.

3) When you don’t have “time”, doing something is better than nothing. The mentality of doing ONE thing instead of 50 saved me. The consistency compounds. Perfection is nothing but a construct of our imagination! 🤣

4) Gratitude - I’m running late? Cool, I must have been saved from a car wreck! I failed? Cool, I’ve gained some awesome knowledge and experience! Practicing gratitude changed my brain chemistry, allowing me to live a happier life in the midst of chaos. We can’t always fix our environment, but we can fix our brain. Use that innate ability to your advantage!

Who knew a bowl of delish whole foods could provoke so much thought 🤣

Moving homes is still [sadly] underway for me… and I am extremely exhausted!!! Thankfully, most of the exhaustion is physical, not mental - and I truly believe this is only possible because I’ve made it a strict requirement to make space for happiness.

I am making it a point to enjoy the little things - how good a shower feels after a long day, the little critters that came to watch us haul stuff inside, and the appreciation I have for my body working so hard without failure! All of these things are huge positives!!!!

Here’s your daily reminder to *notice* and appreciate the little daily things. The warm water you have running from your faucet, the car you have to drive to work, etc.

Gratitude is SERIOUSLY life changing! 🌿

😅 Passionate post incoming:

The brain is incredibly powerful—something we’ve always known, but research continues to confirm it.

Too often, fear creeps in when we hear phrases like “you have degenerative discs,” “it’s bone on bone,” or “you have the back of an old man.” The truth is, a large portion of the population has similar findings — many without ANY pain. Research has also shown that the brain wants to protect you, so when it sees or hears potential danger, it will react accordingly… even without actual danger.

That’s why I encourage you to listen to your body first. Next, focus on lifestyle changes that support healing. And only when necessary, turn to imaging and medical interventions.

When we give the body the right tools (movement, nourishment, and mindful care) it often finds its own way to resolve the issue.

Think of it like a fever: our first instinct is to reach for meds the moment our temperature rises above 99°. Yet a fever is actually the body’s first line of defense! Why would we dampen the body’s natural healing system for the sake of short-term comfort (like only a few extra comfort hours😂)?

Yes, exercises can feel tough. Yes, healing foods may not always be what we crave. But these are the very things that restore us — WITHOUT side effects — while supporting the body the way it was designed to thrive.

SO… Here’s to loving ourselves, trusting ourselves, and leaning on nature’s wisdom to heal — powerfully, naturally, and freely. ❤️❤️❤️
