Happy 2-year coachiversary to our coach !! We are so grateful for you and everything you do. We asked Annie a few questions to reflect on her experience as a coach🍊:

What made you decide to become an otf coach? About 18 months after having my twins, I joined OTF hoping to get stronger and lose some weight. I never expected it would put me in the best shape of my life and introduce me to such an incredible community. I was always inspired by the coaches and their ability to lead the room with energy and confidence. When the opportunity came up to get behind the mic, I took it — and I instantly fell in love. Coaching makes me feel powerful, confident, and truly fulfilled.

My favorite exercise to coach? Definitely the deadlift from the floor. I love helping members dial in their form — keeping the shoulders set back, the core braced, and building the confidence to lift heavy with great technique. When everything clicks, the results are incredible. Also, coaching the treads is my all time favorite - especially when it’s ESP!

what keeps you motivated as a coach?  Seeing members accomplish things they once thought were impossible keeps me motivated every day. Whether it’s lifting heavier, running faster, or just showing up on a tough day — those wins matter.
I’m also driven by the personal connections we build. Getting to know our members, supporting their goals, and being part of their journey makes this role so meaningful to me!

In honor of Heart Month, we're shining a spotlight on Jennifer from OTF Corvallis. 2 years ago, Jennifer survived a heart attack. Just 57 days later, she was back in the studio — not because the journey was easy, but because movement, community, and hope mattered deeply to her. ​

After her heart attack, Jennifer began cardiac rehab — a humbling experience for someone who had been active and a regular at OTF. It meant slow walks on a treadmill, constant monitoring by a medical team, and a crash cart within arm’s reach. It was a long, painful road, but it was the road she needed to take to find her new normal. ​

Jennifer and her studio wear red with pride. National Wear Red Day is especially close to her heart because it helps shine a light on heart and cardiovascular disease in women — and the importance of knowing the signs, which can often look different than they do in men.​

Her story is a reminder of resilience, strength, and the power of listening to your body ❤️ Throughout the month, we’ll be wearing red for stories like Jennifer’s — and for every heart that keeps showing up.
