Residents and associates spent the afternoon learning about rabbit care, meeting different bunny breeds, and enjoying lots of furry snuggles thanks to Friends of Rabbits. Safe to say there were lots of smiles around the community after this visit!

This National Nurses Week, we’re celebrating the people who have dedicated their lives to caring for others. 💙

At Brightview, that includes the nurses on our teams today and residents like Phyllis Barkus at Brightview Senior Living Port Jefferson, who spent her career serving as both a nurse and military officer.

From serving in the U.S. Navy Nurse Corps during the Vietnam War to holding senior leadership roles, her story is one of service, strength, and lasting impact.
