Christmas Eve

The night slows down, the stars shine bright,
Peace settles gently in soft moonlight.
Stockings wait and hearts believe,
In quiet dreams of Christmas Eve.

Laughter fades, the world feels new,
Wrapped in hope and kindness too.
One sacred pause before the morn—
Where love is felt, and joy is born. 🎄

After the Lights of Hanukkah

The candles rest, their work complete,
Wax-soft memories, warm and sweet.
Eight nights linger in gentle glow,
Long after the flames have learned to go.

Laughter echoes where blessings were said,
Oil and faith and stories spread.
Latkes crisp, with applesauce near,
Songs still hum in the heart of the year.

We carry the light we once could see,
In quiet moments, in you and me.
Though Hanukkah’s flames no longer rise,
Their miracle lives before our eyes.

A season passed, yet still we find
Its joy is lit within the mind.
For once a light has touched the soul,
Its warmth remains — forever whole.
