Today we gather, smiles so wide,
With frozen treats and hearts with pride.
An ice cream truck, a joyful sound,
Bringing happiness all around.

To every staff who cares each day,
And every resident in a special way—
We celebrate the love we share,
In every cone, in every care.

"Strangers No More"

We sat in silence, side by side,
Both learning how to heal our pride.
The room was still, the air was tight,
But your small smile made things feel right.

A glance, a nod — then words began,
Not loud or fast, just soft and planned.
You spoke your truth, I shared mine too,
And slowly, something kind and true.

We laughed at pain, as strange as that,
Like battle scars we now wore flat.
In broken parts, we saw some light,
And found a friend in shared good fight.

Now therapy's a softer place,
Because I see your steady face.
We came to mend what hurt before —
But walked away with something more.

Partners in (Mild) Crime

They say it’s work—but we all know,
It’s snacks, some gossip, and a show.
The residents joke, the staff plays along,
Someone’s always humming the wrong song.

“Who stole my Jell-O?” becomes a quest,
With suspects lined up (they all confessed).
One tells tall tales from ‘42,
And somehow swears each one is true!

The staff pretends to keep control,
But truth be told, we share one goal—
To laugh until the dentures shake,
And sneak two cookies on a break.

So when we say we get along,
It’s not just sweet—it’s loud and strong!
From rolled-up socks to bingo feuds,
We're perfectly matched in all our moods.
