Before and immediately after lip augmentation using RHA-3 filler (Revance). As we age the loss of volume in the lips results in flattening of the vermillion border of the upper lip which loses structure. At the same time the diameter of the lips increases. Using RHA-3 filler we can correct theses changes restoring structure and fullness which in turn decreases the diameter of aging lips.

It is important to remember that the lip is a closed compartment. Once the compartment is full, putting more filler will have the same effect as overpacking the trunk of your car - it will cause them to protrude outward or “trout pout.”
