We were honored to host Dr. Yusef Imani, a fellowship-trained neurosurgeon from NSPC Brain & Spine Surgery, at our Oceanside location, with our very own clinical director, Dr. Adam Barga. With expertise in minimally invasive spine surgery and the treatment of complex spinal deformities, Dr. Imani shares our passion for helping patients recover more quickly and return to their normal lives.

During his visit, he explored our AlterG® Anti-Gravity Treadmill and even hopped on to experience firsthand how this innovative technology works. By using air to unweight the body, the AlterG makes walking and running safer and easier during rehab, a perfect complement to his patient-centered approach. Fall Prevention Awareness Week is coming up on September 22–26, and we’re getting a head start! 🍂

We had the pleasure of going to Commonpoint Queens Senior Center in Forest Hills, where our Physical Therapists Ferdinand Arman Maligaya, PT and Christian Lee led an engaging Fall Prevention lecture and screening.

Residents learned practical tips to improve balance, reduce fall risk, and stay active, plus had the chance to participate in fall screenings on the spot.

Fall prevention is key to living safely and confidently, and we’re proud to empower our community with the tools to make it happen.

As we pause to remember 9/11, we honor the heroes who sacrificed so much and continue to support the families they left behind. ❤️🤍💙
Last night, our very own Occupational Therapy Director, Connie Volpe, MS, OTR/L, attended a moving 9/11 memorial drone light show at her local diner 🇺🇸✨ She proudly wore her 5K Run/Walk shirt from the annual Tunnels to Towers Foundation event, an organization dedicated to supporting wounded military members, first responders, and their families.
May we never forget their bravery, and may we continue to honor them through our actions, our service, and our support.
