We are finally done with renovations and construction. We are officially fully operational. We want to send out a quick shout out to the staff and the church members at generations church for their support and patience while we were undergoing our makeover.

Our construction team and contractors did a great job in making sure that the church was always ready for Sunday service and the area was cleared of any debris.

Here are some before and after photos

Progress, another day or two and the doors will officially open. We are very excited in welcoming you to our new home.

When things are not going your way and you’re
Struggling to find the positive side of things, remember these:

- What if everything that went wrong
Was actually going right

- What if that rejection was a redirection

- What if your struggles
Are just shaping you for something bigger

- What if the setback is just part of the setup

- Maybe life isn’t happening to you
…it’s happening for you

Remember, you’re never going through this alone; He is always walking next to you. He gives you struggles so you have a testimony. Remember that.

We are excited and blessed to announce that we are GROWING!!!

July 2022 a decision was made to open Lighthouse Family Mortuary in Greeley and become the only family owned and operated Funeral Home in Greeley. Our focus was on healing, compassion and love to every family we serve; as well as dignity, care, and respect for every deceased that is entrusted into our care.

We had a vision, and that vision was to serve everyone and celebrate the life that was lived and not morn the life that was lost.

Our vision became organic and a ministry was formed. We are proud to say that our staff have grown, and our ministry has been overwhelmingly accepted and appreciated by the communities near and far. We have been blessed beyond measures with the overwhelming trust that our communities have bestowed upon us. That means our current location can no longer accommodate our growth.

After searching for the perfect place for the new home for Lighthouse Family Mortuary, we are proud and excited to announce that our new location will be in the heart of Greeley. We are excited to announce that we will be moving inside Generations Church in Greeley Colorado to continue growing our ministry with a church that has the same beliefs and love for people as we do.

After a long discussions with Generations staff, it became evident that this is where Lighthouse belongs. We will be blessed to work alongside a phenomenal staff at Generations. With the new location, no service will be too small or too big for us to accommodate.

Our plan is to be open and operating at our new location by beginning of August. Our new address will be 3600 W. 22nd St., Greeley, CO 80634. We will have a dedicated entrance to Lighthouse Family Mortuary.

We will announce our open house once dates are more concrete.

A decorated Air Force veteran of 27 years, Colonel Tara Lunardi’s burial followed months of legal struggles over what her family calls a "paperwork technicality."

There are days when our jobs become more than just jobs. When the families we help become more than just families we help. I am always amazed when we get a thank you card or even “thanks for everything…” from families we help. When we tell families that it was an honor to have helped them, we mean it!!!
Families trust us when they are at the most vulnerable time of their lives and to get a thank you…. It’s just amazing.

Today I received this painting from a family as a thank you. I love my calling (it’s not a job, it’s a calling). We helped this family in a non-traditional way; but serving others is what we do best.

A person who loses a partner is called a widow. A child who loses a parent is called an orphan. But there is no word to describe a parent who loses a child, because that is a loss like no other. So will you put this as your status for just 1 hour. I'm pretty sure I know the ones who will. Think of someone you know or love who's lost a child & take a few minutes to honor every child gone too soon...and every parent left here to live without them. 💔

Happy Thanksgiving to all families we have helped or currently helping. Please use this day as a beautiful remembrance for all the wonderful memories and share the beautiful stories of your loved one that has passed. That’s how their legacy will live on; by being remembered.

New term I learned this week is “Live Aloha”

“Live Aloha” is a way of life that embodies the Hawaiian concept of aloha, which is more than just a greeting or farewell:
* Compassion and kindness: Treat others with respect, empathy, and understanding, regardless of their background or beliefs.
* Harmony: Live in harmony with the land and the environment, and be mindful of your words and actions.
* Gratitude: Be grateful for what you have.
* Appreciation: Foster a deep appreciation of relationships.
* Connection: Recognize the interconnectedness of all beings.
* Respect: Respect others, nature, and yourself.
Some ways to live aloha include: Being forgiving and understanding, Spreading love and compassion wherever you go.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone near and far

Please share this with your loved ones or with others to spread the joy
