Have you heard about our Healthy Tech Initiative? We use this approach to help re-integrate our students with technology so that they can have a healthier relationship with it. Bennett Edgerly, our Clinical Director, has been taking the lead on integrating the Healthy Tech Initiative at RMC and is now also presenting it to a local school board!

As the new Director of Business Development, Kate Deily comes with over 17 years of experience working as an educator, supervisor, parent coach, mentor, therapeutic boarding school Admissions Director, and Educational Consultant. She is excited to use her accumulated knowledge and skills to help Red Mountain Colorado thrive in this new year.

Our Academic Director Elizabeth Villanueva works directly with our students, helping them through their academic journey at Red Mountain Colorado from start to finish. Elizabeth attended the University of Northern Colorado, graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education. She holds a high school teaching certification, a certification in Special Education, and has a Master’s Degree in Organizational Leadership.

Elizabeth taught for many years in a public high school setting, and decided to pursue teaching in a private setting when she realized there was not enough focus on students’ overall mental health in most schools. She is well-versed on working with students with various learning differences and mental health needs, and is delighted to be able to apply this experience at Red Mountain.

“I understand that every student is different and need to be supported in different ways. I work hard to make sure I accommodate all learning styles and rhythms so everyone I work with feels successful in the classroom and beyond.”

Outdoor activities stimulate all five senses in ways indoor activities cannot. This makes you more self-aware and present in your life. All these aspects make adventure therapy effective because they can aid your teen in their ability to open up about their struggles.

Our adventure therapy program at RMC aims to maximize the benefits of outdoor adventure in order to aid in therapeutic healing for stress or mental health related struggles.

This month Red Mountain Colorado welcomed Pedro Lopez and Elizabeth Rademacher to their amazing team. Pedro joins the team as the new Program Director, and Elizabeth is their new Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. They are both very excited to join the Red Mountain Colorado team and to work with and support the students toward success.
