The Mildred S. Hansen Nursing Program Scholarship was awarded to Breanna Crawford of Greeley and Isabelle DiNapoli of Littleton. Both are attending the University of Northern Colorado studying nursing. The two-year scholarship covers the cost of in-state tuition and fees, books, and a stipend for living expenses. Congratulations to both!

As part of its ongoing commitment to health education, Weld Legacy Foundation awards annual scholarships. This year’s winner of the Florence Winograd Educational Scholarship was the Banner NOCO HAPI Reduction Team for their dedication to reduce hospital-acquired pressure injuries with patient care improvements and widespread awareness. The scholarship will go toward continuing education for each team member. Team members include Michelle Yankowski, Jennifer Landis, Dr. Eric Luehr, Mark Patton, Rachel Wilson, and Shell Hanselman.

The 43rd Annual Weld Legacy Foundation Golf Tournament raised over $32,000 to support the Heart Safe City initiative, which places AEDs in public gathering spots throughout the community with simple step-by-step instructions in the event of a sudden cardiac arrest. Thank you to everyone who participated in this wonderful event!
