Our Compassionate Care Initiative is gaining traction! Thanks to our partners at NE Health Partners, the McKee Wellness Foundation and UCHealth, we are gearing up to provide effective dementia care training to nursing, paramedic and allied health program students at UNC, Aims Community College, Morgan Community College and Northeastern Junior College this academic year.

During our pilot program last academic year, 221 students, 27 healthcare professionals and 69 community members completed the training.

Today is National Nonprofit Day and we celebrate almost 50 years of working to improve health outcomes in northeastern Colorado by building and supporting our healthcare workforce and providing health education where gaps exist. Whether its taking our traveling mental health exhibit to community colleges and libraries, going into high school classrooms to promote healthcare careers, providing valuable dementia care training to medical/nursing/allied health/paramedic students or providing harm reduction/Narcan training to students and community groups, WE ARE TRULY MAKING A POSITIVE IMPACT.
