OASIS Pediatric Therapy

OASIS Pediatric Therapy We are a heart and people centered service provider, that serves families as a whole, and not just individuals.

OASIS Pediatric Therapy empowers children with delays/disabilities and their families to THRIVE, by providing exceptional in-home physical, occupational and speech therapy to the underserved in Colorado. OASIS Pediatric Therapy empowers children with delays/disabilities and their families to maximize independence and life satisfaction, by providing progressive in home physical, occupational and speech therapy, as well as resources and respite for the underserved in Colorado. Our goal is to be the very best at what we do, not the biggest. We are founded and run by two of Northern Colorado's best and most established therapists, with over 40 years of combined experience, as well as working mothers. They are intimately acquainted with the experience and struggles of both parents of children with delays/disabilities and of clinicians. We strongly believe that the foundation of great service begins with the genuine care, support, and respect of our service providers. Therefor we encourage every therapist in their endeavors for well being and maintaining a healthy work life balance. Because of this we allow every therapist to decide their own working hours and location. Learn more about us at www.oasispediatrictherapy.com

Mornings can feel overwhelming, especially when everyone is trying to get out the door. These simple strategies can bring more calm and predictability to your routine:

• Create a visual schedule kids can follow step-by-step.
• Keep clothing and school items in predictable places.
• Add a quick movement break, such as stretching or walking the dog.

These adjustments help kids feel grounded and give your mornings a more steady rhythm.

At OASIS, occupational therapists and speech-language pathologists play a critical role in helping children build skills, confidence and independence. The work goes far beyond a single session. It supports families and creates a meaningful, lasting impact.

We are currently seeking occupational therapists and a speech-language pathologist for our clinic team to support growing needs across our communities. These roles are a strong focus for us as we continue expanding care and services.

If you’re looking for meaningful, purpose-driven work in a supportive, collaborative environment, we’d love to connect. Learn more by clicking the link: www.oasispediatrictherapy.com/careers

January is National Birth Defects Awareness Month. Birth defects affect one in 33 babies born in the United States and can influence how a child’s body forms or functions. Early identification, early intervention and ongoing support can make a meaningful difference in a child’s development.

This month, we aim to raise awareness about common birth defects, support families navigating a new diagnosis and encourage early therapy and medical care.

Every child’s journey is unique and every family deserves understanding, resources and support.

Building handwriting skills can take time and simple routines can help kids feel more confident and in control. Try these caregiver-friendly ideas at home:

• Warm up hands with Play-Doh, finger stretches or a quick shake.
• Use high-contrast paper or bold lines to guide letter spacing.
• Keep practice short and frequent instead of long and tiring.

Small changes add up! These easy exercises help children slow down, focus on technique and feel more successful as they grow their handwriting skills.

How early should you start pediatric therapy? 🤔

The answer is as early as possible.

About one in six children experiences some form of developmental difference, from neurological impairments and learning challenges to developmental delays. It’s not uncommon for kids to face bumps along the way, but the earlier they receive therapy, the more we can do to help their brains build neuroplasticity -- the ability to form new connections and learn new skills.

Early intervention gives your child the best chance to catch up, grow and thrive. 🌱

Find unmatched growth and purpose with a career at OASIS Pediatric Therapy.

💬 “My favorite moments are when kids meet their goals, big or small. Sometimes it’s something like walking on their own for the first time, but often it’s the little milestones that mean the most. Those small wins give families hope and remind us how much progress is possible.” — Kristen Brewer, PT at OASIS

Happy first day of winter!

We here at OASIS, we understand how challenging it can be to keep your child active indoors during the colder months. Here are a few tips and tricks as we enter the season:

1️⃣ If possible, prioritize outdoor play:
Vitamin D is essential for everyone’s health. Be sure to still get outside, even when it’s snowy and cold — fresh air and sunshine can help keep the winter blues away.

2️⃣ Plan screen-free activities:
It’s easy to spend too much time on screens during the winter. Limiting screen time can help improve emotional regulation, focus and creativity for your child.

3️⃣ Stay active indoors:
Create fun movement breaks — build a fort, dance to music or set up an obstacle course. Keeping bodies moving helps lift moods and burn off energy.
