Zelo Scrubs

Zelo Scrubs In 2011 tragedy struck our family. Craig; husband, father of four, and friend of many was stung by a bee and went into anaphylactic shock.

He spent 12 long days in the Intensive Care Unit and another 40 in a rehabilitation hospital. If it wasn’t for all of the wonderful doctors, nurses, and staff our family would no longer be. It was during this journey that we discovered the selflessness and passion that those of you in the health care industry possess. During our time in the hospital, interacting with the medical teams on a daily basis we began to hone in on their needs, likes, and interests. It was then that we decided to give back in the best way we thought possible, to provide those passionate people that spend their days helping others with scrubs that not only fit their body but also their individual personalities. We strive to bring the same level of passion into our craft as you do yours. As a special token of appreciation to those that helped see our family through the journey we experienced with Craig we have named each pattern after those that saw us through. Meet LaDonna, mother of four, wife of Craig, and co-founder of Zelo Scrubs. After clothing her children with hand sewn garments, making adorable outfits for her grandchildren, and creating beautiful wedding dresses for family members her more than 30 years of sewing experience now has a purpose greater than ever before.

One year ago, Craig was just coming out of his coma. Our lives have been forever changed. He has come a long way in that year.

Time to think about ordering those winter and Christmas scrubs! I can't wait to sew up some of the great fabrics!! They will be so much fun and your coworkers and patients will love them.

Right now I am thankful to all the doctors, nurses and other people who wear scrubs and save people's lives. Just a year ago, my family and I were spending many hours in NCMC intensive care. My husband had been stung by a bee and had a severe allergic reaction. This changed our lives forever. If it had not been for all the wonderful people that work at NCMC, the paramedics and the people the work at the Rehab hospital, we would not be where we are today.
