If someone you love is struggling with suicidal thoughts, it’s important to listen with compassion and take their words seriously. Let them know they are not alone, and gently encourage them to seek support. Having an open, judgment-free conversation can make a meaningful difference.

If they are in immediate danger, please call 911 or the national crisis hotline at 988. Help is available, and hope is possible.

When someone is experiencing suicidal thoughts, they need professional support right away. Yet, they may not be willing to get that help. As long as you do not believe them to be an immediate risk, consider talking to them about what is happening and why they are making such statements.

Grateful for a Powerful Weekend in the Community!

This weekend was a meaningful one, from celebrating and raising awareness for recovery at the Capitol in Madison, to wrapping up the evening at the Be the Light Walk for su***de awareness and prevention in Green Bay.

A huge shout out to all the organizers and volunteers that made these events happen and thank you to our Willow Creek staff who joined us and walked for the cause that reflects our mission every single day. Your presence and support made a powerful impact!

Su***de does not discriminate—it can touch families, friends, and communities in ways that leave lasting pain. Yet every conversation, every gesture of compassion, and every effort to listen can help break the silence that surrounds it.

On this World Su***de Prevention Day, we are reminded that prevention starts with connection. Talking openly about su***de does not encourage it—it helps prevent it. By showing care, reducing stigma, and creating spaces where people feel safe to share their struggles, we can save lives.

Our team is here to provide immediate support, compassionate care, and hope when it is needed most. You are not alone, and help is always within reach. If you or someone you love is struggling, call us anytime. We are available 24/7, every day of the year. Together, we can build a future where fewer lives are lost to su***de. ***dePreventionDay
